At Arohanui all students have an IEP. The IEP is fundamental to the support of our students. The IEP outlines the student's educational goals for the year. It is a systematic approach used by the 'key stakeholders' to identify the full range of needs of students What is an Individual Education Plan (IEP)An IEP is a means of identifying and prioritising learning outcomes for individual students It is a concise and usable summary of the student's educational programme It is a tool for collaborative planning between the school, the parents/caregivers, and the student ( where appropriate) and other agencies as necessary It is a commitment to supporting the student to achieve identified goals It is a tool for tracking individual student learning in terms of agreed goals and objectives It is a summary of teaching strategies and the specialist resources required to implement the programme effectively
